Olivia and Kennedy are really into making books and albums for hours on end, so I made each of them a book making kit for their 6th birthdays. I picked out school supplies that'll last them a long time, including pink staplers, a hand held hole punch each, scotch tape dispensers, colored pens and duo-tangs. You know... all the stuff that gets a craft adult kid excited!
Oh! And I got them each a pink lockable cash box that they can use for supplies, jewelry... and maybe for small business in the future ;) Secret spots and locking things up was my thing when I was a kid and I thought they'd probably dig that too.
I'm babysitting O&K during a school inservice this Friday and they're going to bring their album kits over so that I can teach them some fun binding ideas :) We're going to use the pipe cleaners to make rings for turnable pages and I'll show them how to stitch signatures together. Can't wait!!
