Last month I shared set-up tips for a little vingette photo and this month I'm excited to show an easy way to photograph a single item with a pretty base & background. This takes only a minute to set-up and is interchangable with different backgrounds!!
How To: You will need a roll of wallpaper to create the one piece patterned background; wrapping paper works great too! Find a shelf with room below for a table or chair, near natural light. Drape your paper off the shelf (hold it down with heavy stuff), onto the tabletop or chairseat below and let your remaining roll of paper rest on the floor (no need to cut the paper). Place your object on the paper covered tabletop or chairseat, angle it towards the natural light (turn off your flash) and start shooting :) Viola!!
This is an eye-catching way to feature products in your etsy shop or a themed item for postcards/invitations, blog post photos or the back of your business card :) Enjoy!
