Ello lovlies, I'm Emma of Food Coma. I work at Red Velvet with my sister Elsie, and I am the owner of the Sweet Shoppe. I love to bake, read and snuggle my pug in my free time. I met Leigh-Ann through Elsie, and her company, Freckled Nest Design, was the brains behind my new blog makeover--which I love! (I'm not even just saying that because LA is reading this, it just seriously was an amazing transformation.)
I wanted to share a delicious little savory snack with you all. Behold: Cheddar Pinwheels. It's an easy to make snack on a stick!
What You Need:
- puff pastry
- shredded cheddar cheese
- 1/4 cup finely chopped green onions
- lollipop sticks (these can be found in craft stores, some specialty grocery stores and online)
- salt + pepper.
Puff pastry is often found in the frozen foods section, so once you take it home let it thaw out in the refrigerator overnight. Then roll out a sheet of puff pastry, sprinkle on cheese, onions and salt + pepper. Then roll it up. Slice into 1 inch pinwheels, insert lollipop stick near the end of the piece (this helps it to hold together better). Bake at 350 F for 15-18 minutes, or until golden brown.
Let them cool off a little before you start enjoying them-- as I found that these were highly addictive. xo. Emma
