A Little About Me

My name's Leigh-Ann and I love life :) I live in Winnipeg Canada with my dog Lola in a cute little house, only 5 minutes away from my family (Mom and Dad, Kody, Amanda and Matt, Olivia and Kennedy). Freckled Nest is my career and between freelance design, crafts & teaching, business support and blogging, I love love love doing what I do :)

Some of my favorite things are: thrifting, going to the cabin, lemons, swimming, taking pictures, going to restaurants, coloring with my nieces, working, bonfires, sleeping in, wrinkly puppies, blogging, birds that fly in clusters, making things with my hands and time with my family and friends. I'm young at heart with an old soul and I'm excited to share the beautiful world through my eyes. I hope you'll feel sunshine here :)

My Design Style

My favorite websites are always the ones with a real-life feel to them. I love indie style and my mom says that I was born a treasure hunter... I adore that rush of the perfect vintage find and I strive to give that same feeling when you meet your new website! My style is vivid, vintage in the now, treasured, colorful and happy. My designs often include photographed vignettes along with a great pairing of fonts, pattern & texture, juicy colors and creative methods for navigating and portraying your special qualities & dream.
